Worker Rewards

Worker Nodes Reward

In the OpenCompute network, Worker Nodes serve as the core providers of compute power. To incentivize their continuous participation, the system employs a dual-reward model consisting of Uptime Rewards and Compute Rewards.

This mechanism ensures that nodes can earn a baseline income even during idle periods, while also rewarding high-quality computations. Together, these incentives create a stable and efficient decentralized compute network, positioning OpenCompute as a reliable foundation for global AI workloads.

1. Uptime Rewards

Uptime Rewards encourage nodes to remain consistently online. Even during idle times without assigned tasks, nodes receive baseline rewards proportional to their online duration. Rewards are further adjusted based on node performance, efficiency, and reputation scores.

2. Compute Rewards

When nodes actively participate in tasks such as model inference or training, the system evaluates their performance across efficiency, duration, and accuracy. Nodes with higher efficiency, longer task execution, and precise results receive greater rewards. This approach motivates nodes to contribute meaningful, high-performance compute while penalizing low-quality or failed executions.
